Colorful Omelette

Omelette

I make this omelette whenever I want a quick, satisfying breakfast or a light lunch. It’s fluffy, full of flavor, and combines sweet onion, ham, and fresh vegetables. Best of all, it’s ready in just 15-20 minutes.

Details Information
Servings 3-4
Preparation time 15-20 minutes
Shopping time 10-12 minutes
Difficulty Easy
Possible substitutions Ham → bacon; yellow onion → spring onions; bell pepper → mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • Approximately 50 g ham
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1–2 tsp butter
  • 1 sprig of fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste

How I Make It

  1. Prepare the ingredients. Chop the vegetables and ham into small pieces. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt.
  2. Sauté the filling. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion, ham, and bell pepper until softened and lightly golden.
  3. Add the eggs. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Cook until set. Let the omelette cook until the eggs are firm. If the top is still runny, cover the pan with a lid or carefully flip the omelette to cook the other side.
  5. Garnish and serve. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.

I like to serve this omelette with fresh bread, sliced tomatoes, and processed cheese for a simple, satisfying meal.
